Marshall, VA

Around 2.9 square miles in Fauquier County VA, this gorgeous little town gets its name from John Marshall, a former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, who lived nearby in Delaplane. It sits between 2 exits on Route 66, and somewhat of a commuter town to Washington DC and Northern Virginia. Its population is below 2000. It's close by to several wineries, like Barrel Oak, and Naked Mountain, and has beautiful views. The little downtown main street has some shops and restaurants. If you visit, stop into the Red Truck Rural Bakery for a sandwich or drink!
